A great place to shop for fine jewelry. They are very knowledgeable and helped us pick out our wedding rings way back in 1982! This is a family business that knows their diamonds and very trustworthy.
I took my expensive brand new Rado watch (worth around $1200) to Montgomery's Jewelry store in Starkville, MS to get the band adjusted. The jeweler took a look at it. He was messing around with it for a while and eventually he told me that he was not able to figure it out. When I got home, I looked at my watch and I saw that the band was damaged. I immediately went back to the store and showed my watch to the jeweler. His reply was: "I don't know what to tell you." He pretty much denied doing anything to it. Again, this was a brand new watch and I just barely took it out of the box. I didn't even wear it at all so I am 100% sure that the jeweler damaged it. I will never go back!
Mr. Montgomery created a custom Necklace for us from two other existing pieces and was extremely helpful in bringing a design to life that started as only a simple hand drawn sketch. He was also willing to educate me in the process about jewelry making and picking gems, allowing me to make an informed decision on what we should include on the piece. The staff was very friendly and straight forward. Many Jewelry stores are pushy, where they were completely reasonable and we even stopped in multiple times until we made up our minds about what we wanted. We highly recommend Montgomery's Jewelry for custom pieces!
