My wife went in there the other day to scope things out, and the owner was very condescending and rude! We will not spend any money locally.
Everything was great until the final payment was made. It all went downhill after that including the alteration experience. When the bride called about the dress they told her she had picked it up already; however they had misplaced the dress and it took them several hours to call back to let her know they had located the dress. Disappointed with the additional beading that was added to the dress. It was barely noticeable. Given a time to pick up the dress when alterations were to be completed (between 10am and noon. I arrived at 11am) and it was not ready nor was the seamstress working on it when I arrived. I sat and waited for it to be completed.
These ladies went above and beyond to help me with a dress for my daughter that I did not even purchase from them! They saved the day for me!!
I have known Karol since working at MSU and directing the Miss MSU pageant in which she participated. Recently, after retiring, I started helping out at Its a Date on an as needed basis. I was truly blown away with her sincerity in assisting each and every person walking through the door. My soon to be daughter in law loved her experience in her search for the perfect dress. Karol chose selections that she never would have picked out but then loved it. Karol is nothing BUT professional! I was actually standing by the person whose husband (in a review)stated she was rude. She actually wasn’t but merely stated a fact and offered to help in other ways. Not once have I seen Karol or Kim act anything but professional while treating each customer as if they were their very own best friend. The extra hours they spend in trying to make sure that everything is perfect really blew me away. I can assure you that they will do everything in their power to make your day so special whether it’s a wedding, pageant or formal!! Karol can’t control those businesses to which she refers yet she strives to find the best possible seamstresses and other related businesses to fulfill your needs. I’m very happy to have just a very small part in assisting Karol and Kim in making this a very special place to shop for the perfect dress and tux!
My wife and I planned to get married last year. With all the stress of the planning we imagined that getting her dress and my tux would be just as stressful. However, the owner made it her personal mission to make sure we were never stressed. We had so many problems with our bridal party and she literally took it upon herself to make sure we got everything taking care of. Not only the the bride's maid's dresses come in, but our tuxes looked so amazing. The wedding was completely decked out, but people could not keep their eyes off us because of the details that went into every thread. When I first walked in I just thought it would be as simple as getting my tux and leaving, but I personally love the owner. She reminds me a lot of my mom, so only the only problem I had was keeping myself away from the shop because I felt so at home. No matter how famous we get with our career, I REFUSE TO BUY SUITS FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN "IT'S A DATE!!" If I could get married once a year to my wife, I would just so I could live my experience all over again!! You're crazy if you don't try it. I mean that with respect, but it's just facts. Nothing I say will do it justice.......can't wait for everyone to experience a sincere love and passion for weddings like they do!!!
